Latent Conditions is a term used in the Australian Standard General Conditions of Contract such as AS 2124 or AS 4000. Such clauses allow the contractor to claim the additional time and costs required to deal with conditions encountered which are materially different from what should reasonably have been anticipated by the contractor at the time of tender.
